A Little About Me
I have been a
member of St. James since 2002. This is my sixth year teaching Pre-K. It is
always a privilege to see the first discoveries of a young child!!.
I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Escuela Normal Justo Sierra in 1997. My
husband, Dallas Korte, and I have five children: Brittny and Sadie are 13 years
old, Michael is eleven, Solomon is eight and Anthony is three. All of them are
students at St. James. We are ranchers and live on a ranch five miles east of
Leon, Kansas.
I always love to work with children. I like to read, take pictures, art and
cooking. |

Discipline: |
The preschool child
has not reached the age of reason, therefore, it is not logical to reason with
them. They love all the attention that they can get, and will strive hard to get
it. In my classroom I praise, praise, praise good behavior. When I do this the
other children choose to behave good in order to get my attention. This
highlights the good behavior rather than highlighting any negative behavior. |

We utilize the
Montessori Method of teaching.
Encyclopedia knowledge: Dinosaurs, Mammals, Continents, Classic Composers,
Insects, Organs of the Body, Self Portraits, Masterpieces and many more.
Graphic Art, Music, Dance, Theater.
