A Little About Me
I was born and
raised in Garden Plain, KS. After high school I attended Wichita State
University where I received a BA degree in psychology. I later attended Ottawa
University Overland Park, KS where I received my KS Elementary level teaching
licensure. Some of my hobbies are reading, exercise, photography, and arts and
crafts. I have four brothers and my parents have been married for 38 years. I
have a sweet cat named Lulu. |

Discipline: |
We use a color coded behavior system in 1st grade. Each color
represents your child’s behavior for the day. All clothespins will start the day
on white. If a bad choice is made by a student they will be asked to move their
clothespin to the next color. Each additional bad choice will result in moving
their clothespin to the next color.
Here is what each color means:
White= Awesome Day!
Blue= Warning
Green= Lose 5 min. of recess
Yellow= Lose 10 min. of recess
Red= Lose all recess. Note home to
parents
Positive behaviors are rewarded with individual and whole class incentives. |

Homework: |
The students will take home a homework log
every day to be signed by a parent.
Monday- Math facts sheet
Tuesday and Wednesday- Read 15 mins
Thursday- Study for spelling test

Course Study: |
We study all
academic subjects, with an emphasis on Religion, Reading and Math. |

Religion & Mass: |
We attend Mass on Tuesday through
Friday mornings weekly. |
